Today, campsite specialist ACSI launched its renewed website The website, with the most extensive campsite search engine in Europe, has become more user-friendly and has been given a fresh and uncluttered design. New functionalities have also been added. It has never been easier for the European campsite enthusiast to find a campsite which meets all of his or her requirements.

Every year 10 million European campers use for camping holiday information and inspiration. With more than 9,800 campsites, 12 languages and more than 200 kinds of amenities and services the camping enthusiast (annually inspected by ACSI) is presented with an extensive and reliable range of camping possibilities. strives to remain the best campsite search engine in the future. For this reason it has initiated a project to thoroughly re-examine the site.

Research amongst campers
Years of experience played a role in the renewal project and responses from more than 12,500 European campers were collected. For the new website (as well as the previous one) the main aim is: ‘to allow the European camper to find the right campsite easily and quickly’. The campers who were able to visit the new site during the research period were very enthusiastic. Words that were often heard were: straightforward, clear and conveniently organised.

Searching made easy
Finding a campsite has become incredibly easy on the new ACSI Eurocampings website. The search box allows searches by country, region, place or campsite name. When a term does not match exactly, suggestions are given. When there are no campsites in the location entered, then the nearest campsites are given. Visitors can also find campsites using maps; campers can zoom in and out on these maps and immediately see which campsites are located in the area.

Eurocampings stands out
ACSI is the only organisation who offers over 200 amenities and services, anually inspected at each campsite. When searching on the new website it is possible to easily filter for these factors. There is also an option ‘extensive search’ through which a list of all amenities can be found and a selection can be made. The new function ‘compare campsites’ makes it possible to see the differences in terms of amenities and services for the selected campsites at a glance. There are also many themes which a camper can use for his or her search.

Besides all these new options and many more there has also been an important, and immediately obvious, design change. The site has become uncluttered and finding a campsite is now a more pleasurable experience.

European launch
After the launch the ‘old’ website will still be available for some time. The new will still undergo some optimisation after its launch. It is possible for campers to leave feedback about the site via the feedback tool. The European launch of will take place on 14 January at the Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
